Appalachian Dance in the Schools

Get traditional dance scheduled for your school! Workshops, demonstrations and residencies available in square dancing, clogging and other traditional dances. Offered for grades K-12. Programs are also available for Universities and Colleges.

Clogging Classes Starting!

Classes in Appalachian Clogging will be offered starting in November. Beginner level will offered on Tuesdays beginning November 8th from 6:00 - 7:00 p.m.

Intermediate level will be offered on Thursdays beginning November 10th from 6:00 - 7:00 p.m.

All classes will be held at the Daviess County Lions Club Fairgrounds and will continue for 6 weeks. Registration is $36 per person and will take place the first night of classes.

Thank you to everyone for their support of the 2011 Jamborees. Randy and I are blessed to have such loyal supporters of the traditional arts! The Jamborees have grown this year and we are now gearing up to offer more shows in 2012.

Into the Blue with Terry Herd

Had a great interview with Terry Herd in Nashville last week. Check out his program, "Into the Blue" each Sunday evening on country stations throughout the nation. Terry is a great guy and most respected in Nashville within the Bluegrass and Country Music circuit. He and karen also introduced us to Whole Foods and The Firefly while there. Thanks Terry and Karen for a most memorable day in Nashville!

China Dance Tour 2011
I am honored to announce that the Foot Stompin' Express Dance Troupe has been invited for a return engagement for a 7 day teaching and performance series in China. This spring we will once again share and teach our rich Kentucky music and dance heritage to the people of China. Our very talented troupe members include; Abby Day-Fowler, Paul Day, Katie Grose, Isaac Rhodes, Zachary Rhodes, Rachael Rhodes and Heather Norwood-Spoonamore. This multi-talented group will accompany me as we share our Kentucky State Dance! Join me in congratulating them on this fantastic opportunity!

Appalachian Program

The Appalachian Head-toToe Program is going great this week! Randy and I are visiting all of the schools in the area to teach Appalachian music and dance. The students have been very receptive and leave the gym singing and dancing - what a great experience!

Lanham Brothers Jamboree

The Lanham Brothers Jamboree is gearing up for another awesome year of professional fun-filled family entertainment! Randy and I are proud to present the Jamboree on the second Saturday of each month beginning April 9th. Join us for some of Kentucky's best clogging, great country and bluegrass music, comedy, audience participation and a few surprises along the way.

Showtime is 7:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. CST Tickets are general admission at the door and are $10 per person, $5 for ages 6-12 years and 5 years and under are free. Discounts offered for groups of 15 or more people and may be purchased by calling 270.314.4331.
